The Kingdom of Sweden, edged by Norway to the west and the Baltic Sea to the east, expands across much of the Scandinavian Peninsula, is one of the largest countries in the European Union. They are known for beautiful landscapes and most islands over the globe. Sweden’s largest island is Gotland and second largest island is Öland. Following that, three percent of Sweden’s land is covered of islands. The Good Country Index (GCI) puts Sweden on 1^st position out of 169 countries, for the second time in a row. Swedes are some of the world’s most generous people and they donate 1 percent of gross national product to humanitarian aid programs each year. Most Sweden’s trash is recycled. As stated in the Quality of Life Index by Country 2022, Sweden scooped 22^nd place. They are ranked at 5^th in the U.S News Best Countries Rankings. There are around 50 universities and colleges in Sweden. They are recognised as the world leader’s in higher education and despite of having small population, they are home to some of the world’s best universities. According to the Education Rankings by Country 2022, Sweden ranks at 9^th spot in the year 2021 and if you are an international student then you are entitled to have the same health benefits as Swedish citizens.
